Magic Johnson Looks To Score Bankrupt Dodgers

Law360, New York (December 2, 2011, 9:44 PM EST) -- Magic Johnson has partnered with the CEO of financial services firm Guggenheim Partners LLC to place a bid on the bankrupt Los Angeles Dodgers, the former Los Angeles Lakers star announced Friday.

Johnson, Guggenheim CEO Mark Walter and former Washington Nationals team President Stan Kasten are joining forces under Walter's Guggenheim Baseball Management in the hopes of buying the baseball team, valued at $800 million by Forbes earlier this year but currently parked in Delaware bankruptcy court.
