Toyota Must Pay For Doc Security In Brake Suit: Judge

Law360, New York (December 02, 2011, 8:35 PM ET) -- A California federal judge on Friday backed an order requiring Toyota Motor Corp. to bear the costs of implementing security measures to protect its production of source code information in multidistrict litigation over defective braking systems in certain Toyota and Lexus hybrid vehicles.

Toyota had urged the district court to reconsider Magistrate Judge Robert N. Block's Oct. 14 order requiring Toyota to shoulder all of the costs associated with security measures it desired in the production of the anti-lock braking system's source code and source-related information....
