Law360, New York (December 02, 2011, 7:35 PM ET) -- A federal judge in Washington state ruled Friday that state regulators must put tighter restrictions on greenhouse gas emissions from oil refineries run by BP PLC and others, siding with environmental groups.
U.S. District Judge Marsha J. Pechman agreed that regulators were not properly enforcing state clean air standards, granting summary judgment to the Sierra Club and the Washington Environmental Council, which brought the suit in March.
