Granite Rock Strike Case Denied High Court Review

Law360, New York (December 5, 2011, 6:35 PM EST) -- The U.S. Supreme Court on Monday refused to review the Ninth Circuit's decision that it was appropriate to let a jury decide when a contract between Granite Rock Co. and the International Brotherhood of Teamsters was ratified, in a dispute over a 2004 strike.

The ruling by the high court, which heard an appeal in the long-running case last year, means that the Labor Management Relations Act case now returns to the Northern District of California for further proceedings.
