DLA Piper Says Ex-Secretary Can't Sue For Harassment

Law360, New York (December 06, 2011, 6:32 PM ET) -- DLA Piper on Monday asked a Massachusetts federal judge to dismiss the majority of claims in a former legal secretary’s sexual harassment and discrimination suit, saying the ex-employee had lost her standing to bring the claims by filing for bankruptcy.

Shonnett Sisco filed for Chapter 7 in May 2008, a month after she had complained to the company about harassment, the firm wrote in a memorandum supporting its dismissal motion.
