ITC Extends Deadline For Apple, HTC Patent Investigation

Law360, New York (December 06, 2011, 5:23 PM ET) -- The U.S. International Trade Commission on Monday extended a deadline to complete its investigation in Apple Inc.'s suit against HTC Corp. over patents covering wireless communication technology used in smartphones, citing a heavy Section 337 caseload.

In a notice issued by the ITC, the agency said it would extend the target date for completion of its review of an administrative law judge's initial findings until Dec. 14. The commission had originally planned to issue a ruling Tuesday.
