DOJ Wants More Info On Oracle's $1.5B RightNow Buy

Law360, New York (December 08, 2011, 3:53 PM ET) -- Oracle Corp.’s $1.5 billion acquisition of RightNow Technologies Inc. is raising eyebrows at the U.S. Department of Justice's Antitrust Division, which asked for additional information on Wednesday about Oracle’s purchase of the cloud-based customer service software provider.

The Antitrust Division issued a second request for information about the proposed merger, according to a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.

The move indicates the agency is taking a deeper look into possible anti-competitive effects of the deal.
