Law360, New York (December 09, 2011, 2:59 PM ET) -- Two retired NFL players on Wednesday dropped their proposed class action in California state court against the league and the makers of Riddell helmets over on-field head injuries, days after a federal judge refused to send similar suits to state court.
The voluntary dismissal of the suit by plaintiffs Cedrick Hardman and Tommy Mason came a day before it likely would have been removed to federal court, according to Paul Cereghini of Bowman and Brooke LLP, an attorney for Riddell Inc.
