IBM, CDW Sued Over Database Patents

Law360, New York (December 09, 2011, 1:05 PM ET) -- An Australian patent holding company on Thursday sued IBM Corp. and CDW LLC for patent infringement in Illinois federal court, continuing its campaign to protect its electronic database patents.

Financial Systems Technology (Intellectual Property) Pty. Ltd. said that IBM and CDW have been abusing a trio of the licensing group’s patents by making and selling database software that utilizes FST-IP’s database search methods.
