Law360, New York (December 09, 2011, 9:52 PM ET) -- The U.S. Government Accountability Office has recommended that the Defense Contract Audit Agency improve its access to and use of defense contractors' internal audit reports, it said Friday.
In a report that examined the internal audit departments of seven defense contractors, the GAO found that the companies generally adhered to industry standards for organizing their internal audit departments, such as making the department independent of company management.
