Vet Ordered To Shell Out Legal Fees For 'Hurt Locker' Suit

Law360, New York (December 09, 2011, 6:28 PM ET) -- A California federal judge on Thursday doled out $187,000 in attorneys’ fees against a U.S. Army vet who lost his suit claiming Summit Entertainment LLC and others unfairly turned his life into “The Hurt Locker.”

U.S. District Judge Jacqueline H. Nguyen determined that Master Sgt. Jeffrey Sarver was responsible for paying $37,900 in defense costs for the film’s screenwriter Mark Boal and director Kathryn Bigelow.
