Ex-Shionogi IT Employee Gets 3.5 Years For Hacking

Law360, New York (December 9, 2011, 10:31 PM EST) -- A New Jersey federal judge on Friday sentenced a former Shionogi Inc. information technology consultant to 41 months in prison for hacking into the company’s computer network and paralyzing its communications and order tracking systems for days.

U.S. District Judge Stanley Chesler also ordered Jason Cornish to pay $812,567 in restitution, which the court will distribute to Shionogi in Florham Park, N.J., according to minutes of the sentencing hearing.
