EC Seeks More Data On Google’s $12.5B Motorola Bid

Law360, San Diego (December 12, 2011, 3:43 PM ET) -- Google Inc. said Monday the European Commission was seeking more information on the search giant’s $12.5 billion bid to buy Motorola Mobility Holdings Inc., in a move that will postpone the agency’s Jan. 10 deadline for a decision on the deal.

An EC representative said the commission stopped the clock while waiting for documents from Google that were important for its review of the transaction and will re-start it once the agency has all the necessary information.
