DOD Official Caught In Bribe Sting Could Plead Guilty

Law360, New York (December 12, 2011, 5:51 PM EST) -- A high-ranking Afghanistan-based U.S. Department of Defense contracting official accused of accepting bribes in exchange for contracts is expected to plead guilty at a hearing in Georgia federal court next week.

A change of plea hearing, scheduled for Dec. 21, was added to the docket Friday. Defendant Desi D. Wade waived indictment last month. The two moves together suggest that Wade is planning to plead guilty.

One of Wade's attorneys declined to comment Monday.
