Medtronic Investors Win Cert. In Off-Label Marketing Case

Law360, New York (December 12, 2011, 9:11 PM EST) -- A Minnesota federal judge on Monday granted class certification to a group of shareholders alleging Medtronic Inc.’s stock value plunged because the company promoted off-label uses for its Infuse spinal graft system.

U.S. District Judge Paul Magnuson ruled that the class would include any people or entities that bought or acquired Medtronic stock between November 2006 and November 2008 and were damaged by the purchase.
