Qatar Petroleum Raises $10B For Barzan Gas Project

Law360, New York (December 13, 2011, 3:38 PM EST) -- Qatar Petroleum has lined up $10.4 billion in bank and equities financing for the massive Barzan natural gas project, the Qatari state-owned oil and gas company told wire services Tuesday.

The project will be 30 percent funded through equity and 70 percent funded through a $7.2 billion loan syndicate financed by banks and export credit agencies, the Associated Press and Dow Jones Newswires reported, citing a Qatar Petroleum statement.
