DC Circ. Revives Part Of PBGC Workplace Bias Suit

Law360, New York (December 13, 2011, 8:09 PM EST) -- The D.C. Circuit on Tuesday affirmed a lower court's dismissal of race and gender discrimination claims against the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corp. by one of its staff attorneys, but revived the plaintiff's retaliatory hostile work environment claim.

Rhonda N. Baird, a black woman who worked in the office of the chief counsel at the federal agency, claimed that she was subjected to racial and gender discrimination and a retaliatory hostile work environment involving derogatory comments from co-workers.
