Judge Enjoins Ownership Claims Over Wi-Fi Patents

Law360, New York (July 12, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- In an order sent to the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, a district judge has issued a preliminary injunction barring Cellnet Technology Inc. and Hunt Technology LLC from licensing or assigning wireless communication patents which Hunt claims to own.

Judge Julie E. Carnes of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia on Tuesday enjoined CellNet and Hunt from filing claims of ownership for the wireless mesh networking patents with the USPTO.
