Law360, New York (December 15, 2011, 5:40 PM ET) -- Citigroup Inc. plans to appeal a recent New York federal court decision refusing to compel arbitration in a collective action brought by a group of lending specialists seeking unpaid overtime, the company said Tuesday.
Citigroup and its Citibank NA and CitiMortgage Inc. units maintain that the district judge erred in denying their motion to compel arbitration and stay the litigation under the Federal Arbitration Act, according to a notice of appeal to the Second Circuit.
