Exelon, Constellation Reach Accord With Md. Over Merger

Law360, New York (December 15, 2011, 1:38 PM ET) -- Maryland's governor unveiled a settlement with Exelon Corp. on Thursday over its proposed $7.9 billion merger with Constellation Energy Group Inc. that would mean a bigger investment in the state's economy, thousands of additional jobs and a greater energy production commitment.

Baltimore-headquartered Constellation is the parent of Baltimore Gas and Electric Co., Maryland's largest gas and electric utility.
