TomTom, Garmin Beat GPS Patent Suit In Fed. Circ.

Law360, New York (December 15, 2011, 4:45 PM ET) -- The Federal Circuit on Thursday upheld a decision dismissing a patent case against GPS makers TomTom Inc. and Garmin International Inc. over a patent covering GPS display technology, finding that there was no issue of material fact to the appeal.

A three-judge panel held that a lower court correctly ruled that the patent was anticipated by prior art.
