Toshiba Settles Ogma's ITC Sound Effects Patent Case

Law360, New York (December 15, 2011, 4:48 PM ET) -- Toshiba Corp. and Jakks Pacific Inc., the final remaining respondents in a U.S. International Trade Commission suit by Ogma LLC alleging infringement of patents for sound effects and image display technology, settled with Ogma this week.

Toshiba notified the ITC on Wednesday that it had reached a settlement, and on Thursday ITC Administrative Law Judge E. James Gildea granted a joint motion by Jakks and Ogma to terminate the investigation based on a settlement.
