Law360, New York (December 15, 2011, 6:42 PM ET) -- The former controller for notorious Ponzi schemer Bernard L. Madoff will likely plead guilty to charges that she falsified books, Manhattan's U.S. attorney said Thursday.
Enrica Cotellessa-Pitz, a purported member of Madoff's inner circle who until now had not been criminally charged, has indicated she will plead guilty to four counts of accounting-related crimes, U.S. Attorney Preet Bharara said in a two-page letter to the court.
She is cooperating with the government, according to Bharara.
