Pfizer Seeks To Stymie Sandoz, Accord’s Generic Torisel

Law360, New York (December 16, 2011, 8:05 PM ET) -- Pfizer Inc. on Thursday moved to protect its kidney cancer drug Torisel, filing a pair of lawsuits against Sandoz Inc. and Accord Healthcare Ltd. in response to the companies' petitions for regulatory approval of their generic versions of the drug.

Pfizer said in Delaware federal court that Sandoz and Accord are stealing Pfizer's patented injectable by filing generic drug applications with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
