Law360, New York (December 16, 2011, 5:56 PM ET) -- Otis Elevator Co. will not get a new trial in a case in which a jury found it had infringed an elevator system patent held by a Schindler Elevator Corp. unit, a New York federal judge ruled Friday.
U.S. District Judge Colleen McMahon also denied Otis' request to overturn a jury's July verdict that an Otis system that can automatically ferry passengers to a preprogrammed floor violated a patent held by Schindler's Inventio AG.
