Toshiba Slapped With Sanctions In Patent Suit

Law360, New York (July 13, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A Texas judge has issued harsh sanctions against a subsidiary of electronics giant Toshiba Corp. for what he described as the company's willful and intentional violation of the court's discovery order in a patent case brought by a Silicon Valley rival.

U.S. District Judge T. John Ward entered the sanctions against Toshiba America Information Systems Inc. on Wednesday, after Juniper Networks Inc. called for the company to be held in contempt for disobeying the amended discovery order issued five days earlier.
