Cornell, Technion Tapped To Build NYC Tech Campus

Law360, New York (December 19, 2011, 4:21 PM EST) -- Cornell University and the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology have been picked from a pool of seven elite institutions to build an 11-acre science and technology graduate campus in New York, Mayor Michael Bloomberg said Monday.

The joint proposal includes a full campus dedicated to “innovation and technology commercialization” that is expected to open in a small leased space by next year and then grow to more than 2 million square feet on Roosevelt Island by 2017.
