Law360, New York (December 20, 2011, 6:43 PM ET) -- Personal Audio LLC has agreed to drop Canadian tech giant Research in Motion Ltd. from its patent suit, bringing an end to RIM's fight with the patent holding company over playlist technology, the two companies said Monday.
In a joint motion, RIM and Personal Audio asked a Texas federal court to dismiss all claims and counterclaims between the two companies with prejudice. Each side would bear their own attorneys’ fees and costs, according to the motion.
The terms of the settlement are confidential, the motion says....
