News Corp. Settles Hacking Claims By Celebs, Ex-Lawmaker

Law360, New York (December 20, 2011, 3:24 PM ET) -- News Corp. has settled hacking claims brought by Princess Diana's ex-lover, a former member of Parliament and five others, its U.K. news division said Tuesday, the same day CNN's Piers Morgan testified at a government inquiry into the scandal that has led to several arrests.

News Corp.'s News International made the payments to ex-Parliament member Mark Oaten; TV personalities Ulrika Jonsson and Calum Best; model Abi Titmuss; theatrical agent Michelle Milburn; 7/7 hero Paul Dadge; and James Hewitt, ex-lover of Princess Diana.
