Law360, New York (December 20, 2011, 8:10 PM ET) -- A Georgia state court on Tuesday preliminarily approved a settlement between Southstar Energy Services LLC and a proposed class of natural gas customers alleging the company overcharged them by tens of millions of dollars, attorneys in the case said.
The Superior Court of Fulton County, Ga., green-lighted the settlement under which Southstar, doing business as Georgia Natural Gas, will pay qualified customers between $5 and $23 each based on their price plans, according to lawyers for the plaintiffs and GNG.
