Counterfeit Perfume Importer Lands 1-Year Prison Term

Law360, New York (December 21, 2011, 2:04 PM EST) -- A Chinese man who admitted to importing nearly 38,000 bottles of counterfeit designer perfume was sentenced to 12 months in prison for his misdeeds, the U.S. Department of Justice announced Tuesday.

U.S. District Judge Sandra L. Townes gave Shaoxiong Zhou the yearlong sentence in New York federal court, ordering him to additionally pay $20,000 in restitution.
