Kaman To Pay $4.8M To End False Claims Suit: DOJ

Law360, Chicago (December 21, 2011, 2:47 PM ET) -- Kaman Precision Products Inc. will pay $4.75 million as part of a deal to end the federal government’s Florida suit alleging the contractor submitted false claims for bomb parts that did not conform to a military contract, the U.S. Department of Justice said Wednesday.

The deal, which the government noted in a filing in Florida federal court, also requires Kaman to stick to a compliance program and dismiss administrative claims it made against the U.S. Army after it terminated Kaman's contract on grounds that the company...
