Nissim Gets ClearPlay's Claims Axed In DVD Filter IP Fight

Law360, Los Angeles (December 21, 2011, 9:48 PM ET) -- A Florida federal judge on Wednesday dismissed all remaining claims brought by ClearPlay Inc. in a dispute with rival Nissim Corp. over Nissim’s efforts to get ClearPlay’s allegedly patent-infringing DVD players pulled from Target and Best Buy stores.

U.S. District Judge Paul C. Huck ruled Wednesday that Nissim was entitled to summary judgment on ClearPlay’s claims that it breached a settlement and license agreement related to Nissim’s video filtering technology when it sent letters to retailers saying ClearPlay’s DVD players didn’t comply with the agreement....
