Law360, New York (December 22, 2011, 2:15 PM ET) -- MacroSolve Inc. on Wednesday expanded its battle to protect its mobile technology rights, filing a deluge of suits in Texas federal court against American Airlines Inc. and five other companies alleged to have built apps using a MacroSolve patent.
Mobile service company MacroSolve alleges the defendants have developed mobile device apps based on its recently patented data management system. Wednesday’s suits include Continental Airlines Inc., Avis Rent A Car System LLC, The Hertz Corp., Hotels.com LP and Hipmunk Inc. as separate defendants.
