Warner Bros. Says 'Last Samurai' Plaintiffs Forged Docs

Law360, New York (December 22, 2011, 3:13 PM EST) -- Warner Bros. Entertainment Inc. on Wednesday accused the plaintiffs who allege the studio stole their idea for the 2003 movie “The Last Samurai” of forging documents to support their claims and asked a California federal court to toss the case as a result.

Warner Bros. filed a motion for terminating sanctions against plaintiffs Aaron and Matthew Benay, claiming that four documents produced by the plaintiffs earlier this year, which they maintain are critical evidence withheld by the studio, are clear forgeries.
