Wal-Mart Pulls Enfamil Formula After Infant Death

Law360, New York (December 22, 2011, 12:41 PM EST) -- Wal-Mart Stores Inc. confirmed Thursday it was pulling Enfamil formula from stores after a Missouri infant who consumed the product became sick with a suspected bacterial infection and died.

The retail giant has taken a batch of 12.5-ounce cans of Mead Johnson Nutrition Co.'s Enfamil Newborn formula off the shelves of more than 3,000 of its stores nationwide, according to spokeswoman Dianna Gee.
