SPI Solar Lands NJ Utility Contract

Law360, New York (January 03, 2012, 6:51 PM ET) -- California solar developer SPI Solar has won a contract to build an 11.3-megawatt solar energy facility in southern New Jersey, SPI announced Tuesday.

Construction on the fixed ground-mount facility, which will be situated in Egg Harbor Township, is scheduled to begin in the first quarter of this year, pending the close of project financing by New Jersey-based Seashore Solar Development LLC. The facility will generate electricity to feed the southern New Jersey power grid, according to SPI.
