Astaldi, Impregilo Score $1B Italian Road Contract

Law360, New York (January 3, 2012, 7:46 PM EST) -- An Italian road authority awarded construction firms Astaldi SpA and Impregilo SpA a €791 million ($1.03 billion) contract to build a road in southern Italy, the firms announced Monday.

Anas SpA awarded the joint venture, which is 60 percent owned by Astaldi, the contract to build a 38-kilometer road linked to the Jonica National Road, the announcement said. Anas is controlled by the Italian Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport.
