Israeli Airline To Take Off From Price-Fixing MDL For $16M

Law360, Los Angeles (January 03, 2012, 8:34 PM ET) -- El Al Israel Airlines Ltd. has agreed to pay $15.8 million to settle a multidistrict class action accusing a slew of airlines of plotting to fix the rates for air cargo service to and from the U.S., according to a motion filed last week.

Attorneys for plaintiffs in the multidistrict litigation filed a motion Dec. 28 in New York federal court asking U.S. District Judge John Gleeson to grant preliminary approval to the settlement, under which El Al would also agree to cooperate with the plaintiffs...
