Abbott Drops Patent Claims Over Teva's Generic Simcor

Law360, New York (January 04, 2012, 4:48 PM ET) -- Abbott Laboratories on Tuesday dropped five consolidated patent infringement suits against Teva Pharmaceuticals Industries Ltd. over Teva's attempts to market a generic version of Abbott's cholesterol drug Simcor.

According to a joint stipulation of dismissal filed in a Delaware federal court last week, the parties agreed to pay their own costs and neither admitted to liability in the two-year-old dispute. U.S. District Judge Sue Robinson signed an order dismissing the cases with prejudice Tuesday.
