Baker Botts Sues SEC Over Denied FOIA Request

Law360, New York (January 03, 2012, 5:12 PM ET) -- Baker Botts LLP filed suit Tuesday in Texas federal court against the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission seeking to enforce its Freedom of Information Act request for documents related to now-defunct energy company OAO NK Yukos' consultation with the agency.

Baker Botts says that after repeated sufficient requests for the documents under the FOIA, the agency has refused to hand over the documents or justify its failure to do so.
