AT&T To Pay TiVo $215M In Patent Infringement Settlement

Law360, New York (January 03, 2012, 9:09 PM ET) -- AT&T Inc. will pay TiVo Inc. $215 million to settle two Texas and California patent suits over digital video recording technology after the companies entered into a mutual patent licensing arrangement, TiVo announced Tuesday.

In order to settle all pending litigation between the companies, the telecommunications giant agreed to an initial payment of $51 million followed by recurring quarterly payments through June 2018 for a total of $164 million.
