Dewey Assembles Project-Focused Team In South Africa

Law360, New York (January 4, 2012, 7:26 PM EST) -- Global law firm Dewey & LeBoeuf LLP is expanding its reach in South Africa by adding eight new lawyers specializing in natural resources, mining, banking, project finance, and mergers and acquisitions to its Johannesburg office, the firm announced Wednesday.

The team of lawyers, who are all coming from Johannesburg-based Werksmans Attorneys, will be led by Morne van der Merwe, who headed that firm's mining and natural resources practice, and Wildu du Plessis, who led its banking and finance and capital markets practices.
