Law360, New York (January 10, 2012, 7:57 PM ET) -- The U.S. Food and Drug Administration's long-awaited draft guidance on social media sets limits for how drugmakers can respond to questions about off-label uses, but provides no guidelines for responding to consumer queries on any other topics on Facebook and other sites, experts say.
"We have been hoping for some really broad-reaching guidance from the FDA. This obviously is not that document," Kaye Scholer LLP partner Lori Leskin said. “It is much more limited than what we were hoping for — are hoping for.”
