Google Adds 200 IBM Patents To Android Arsenal

Law360, Los Angeles (January 04, 2012, 6:19 PM ET) -- Google Inc. acquired more than 200 patents from IBM Corp. last week, a Google spokesman confirmed Wednesday, in a move that may be designed to shield its popular Android operating system from patent attacks by Oracle America Inc. and other competitors.
