DOJ Asks DC Circ. To Nix Ex-Prosecutor’s Probe Leak Suit

Law360, New York (January 4, 2012, 8:14 PM EST) -- The U.S. Department of Justice on Tuesday asked the D.C. Circuit to uphold the dismissal of a former federal prosecutor’s Privacy Act suit that claims agency officials unlawfully leaked information about a probe into his alleged misconduct to a newspaper.

Richard Convertino, a former assistant U.S. attorney in Detroit, is fighting to revive his privacy suit against the DOJ, seeking to overturn the district court's March 24 order denying his motion for a stay and granting the DOJ's motion for summary judgment.
