Privacy Group Fights To See Google-NSA Communiques

Law360, New York (January 4, 2012, 7:21 PM EST) -- A privacy watchdog asked the D.C. Circuit on Tuesday to force the National Security Agency to respond to a Freedom of Information Act request for materials related to a purported cybersecurity agreement with Google Inc.

In a brief, the Electronic Privacy Information Center called on the appeals court to reverse a lower court’s ruling upholding the NSA’s refusal to grant the group’s FOIA request due to security concerns.
