Law360, New York (January 04, 2012, 8:50 PM ET) -- Lyondell Chemical Co. on Wednesday asked a New York bankruptcy court to approve a settlement it negotiated with two classes of Canadian consumers who brought antitrust allegations, as well as a $110 million bankruptcy claim, against the company in 2006.
The company contends in the motion that the settlement will be both faster and cheaper than litigation, and will relieve it and its related entities and officers of any wrongdoing.
