Law360, New York (January 05, 2012, 1:08 PM ET) -- SPI Solar Inc. and its Chinese majority shareholder LDK Solar Co. have netted a combined $64 million in financing from China Development Bank to fund construction of solar energy projects in New Jersey and California, SPI said Thursday.
California-based SPI Solar secured $44 million from the bank for solar energy facility projects it is working on in southern New Jersey, the company said in a statement. SPI also said majority shareholder LDK Solar secured $20 million in financing for two projects it is developing with SPI in California.
