Law360, New York (January 05, 2012, 1:35 PM ET) -- The U.S. Department of Defense outlined a plan Thursday to maintain the country's military strength under a reduced budget, saying it would focus on investing in missile defenses, outer space capabilities and a new stealth bomber to deter threats.
The agency released guidance laying out changes it planned to make to its defense strategy over the next decade. It said it would seek to make additional investments in counterterrorism, cyberspace defense, and initiatives to stop the spread of weapons of mass destruction.
